My Te Kura access
Supervisors of full-time, fee-paying and young adult ākonga (students) enrolled in our online courses are able to access My Te Kura, our online learning environment. This lets you see what your ākonga is required to do as part of their course.
Viewing course content
You can view the course content to monitor ākonga work return by viewing the My Te Kura dropbox for each course your ākonga is enrolled in. Please note, you will not be able to submit items to the dropbox or open any items to view.
Setting up access
To access My Te Kura, you need to log in with a username and password.
The Student and Whānau Support team are here to help you if you have trouble with online access or just get stuck. Don’t hesitate to call or email. You can contact them on 0800 65 99 88 option 2 from 8am to 5pm on weekdays, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Accessing continuous reporting in My Te Kura
Reporting on ākonga progress in learning is one of our key responsibilities. Reporting happens continuously throughout the year and will come in three forms to reflect the full range of learning at Te Kura:
- Feedback on work submitted via Dropbox, including NCEA results
- Engagement feedback, including work completed at huinga ako, Leaving to Learn activities, the online timetable of classes, online programmes etc.
- Feedback within My Korowai on Te Kura Mātāpono. These demonstrate development of dispositions for living, wellbeing and learning.
Te Kura Mātāpono are the principles we follow when working with ākonga and whānau. These principles help ākonga develop ways of approaching the learning, work, social, sporting and cultural activities - all of the things they do in their everyday lives.
We encourage supervisors to sit with their ākonga and look at their reporting together in My Te Kura. You can also log in to My Te Kura independently to look at feedback and reporting for your ākonga.
