Working with Te Kura

As Te Kura has expanded throughout the years, our kaimahi have built a strong culture around ensuring our ākonga are at the centre of their learning and what we do while building an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Te Kura aims to have a strong digital capability that will provide resources and tools to deliver Te Ara Pounamu - our Big Picture-inspired approach to authentic, inclusive, personalised learning.

To do this it is crucial that our kaimahi are comfortable working with technology. This includes working with a student management system, our online learning environment (My Te Kura), Microsoft suite, Google Classroom and other Google apps and more. Learning and adapting to new technology is continual for Te Kura kaimahi.

For ākonga facing roles you will have opportunities to meet face-to-face throughout the year at huinga ako (learning advisories) or regional event days. You will always be in regular communication with your ākonga online, on the phone or via email.
