Early Childhood
Early Childhood Te Kura offers a free, individualised programme for ākonga/learners aged two to six years old. It is designed by registered early childhood kaiako/teachers who are based in Wellington.
Our kaiako work in partnership with you and your whānau to create and develop an individual programme of learning for ākonga, using the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki– He whāriki mātauranga mō ngā mokopuna o Aotearoa.
Resources
If you are a New Zealand based whānau, you will receive termly learning materials, such as books, art materials and manipulative resources to support your tamariki and their learning.
Ideas and information
Kaiako will provide resources and information about tamariki development along with ideas for learning and play.

Regular communication
Maintaining reciprocal relationships between whānau, ākonga and kaiako is essential to inform the development of the programme of learning. This communication and relationship is vital for the success of the programme.

Your ongoing feedback and contribution to ākonga programmes of learning will provide kaiako with the information required to assess/evaluate and design exciting learning ko wae ako/modules, based on current interests and learning needs.
Huinga ako/Event days
We hold events throughout the country that offer you and your tamariki a chance to meet kaiako and other whānau who live in your area.
There will be opportunities to meet with kaiako with kaiako online.
